Welcome and Chair Report - Hsi-chu Bolick

Hsi-chu Bolick, Chair, convened the meeting at 8:30 a.m. She welcomed all the participants and thanked all the speakers. Ms. Bolick summarized the annual program including a conference theme - EACC to Unicode Migration, and a special event -- celebration luncheon for the OCLCCJK Service 20th anniversary. She thanked OCLC for hosting the meeting and the celebration luncheon.


20th Anniversary Celebration Introduction - Karen Wei

Karen Wei briefed how the 20th Anniversary Celebration was organized. She thanked OCLC for providing the celebration luncheon. She also thanked Andrew Wang for inviting Jay Jordan, President and CEO, OCLC and Rich Rosy, Vice President, Content Management, OCLC to attend the celebration and to make reports. Finally, she welcomed Eugene Wu & Karl Lo, the first and the second chair of the users group, joined the Users Group for this celebration.

Inaugurate Luncheon Celebration - Andrew Wang
Andrew Wang briefed how the OCLC CJK system has grown up from its childhood stage to the adolescent stage and became an adult in 20 years. He thanked all the user group participants and previous chairs, especially the two who can be with us today, Eugene Wu & Karl Lo.


The meeting adjourned at 11:50 a.m. The 20th anniversary celebration luncheon began at 12:00 p.m. at the same location.
